Conceptualizing housing from a political economy perspective is key to understanding its fundamental role in the reproduction of capitalism.

گرایش به مطالعۀ مسکن در چهارچوب جریان اصلی، نقش آن را به کالایی اقتصادی تقلیل داده و پیوند آن با سه وجه اصلی سرمایه را نادیده گرفته است. مفهوم‌سازی مسکن از منظر اقتصاد سیاسی، راهی برای فهم نقش بنیادین آن در بازتولید سرمایه‌داری است.
