سالیان سال است که فرایند تفکر کردن طراحان با طراحی دستی عجین شده است. خیال برای به تصویر درآمدن، ابزاری منعطف می‌خواهد؛ ابزاری از جنس خود، رها و بی‌قید. ابزاری که ابهام را تاب بیاورد و در نبود داده‌های متقن، از کارآمدی نیفتد. دست آگاه به‌خوبی می‌تواند این نقش را بر عهده بگیرد.
